Social Dashboard: Upload Aspect Ratios and New Post Dialog

Manually added social images now get measured aspect-ratio tags in the dashboard. New post opens a dialog — drafts are only created when you save, not when you click New post.

Uploads, library picks, and registered URLs in Dashboard → Social now get aspect-ratio tags at register time for images and videos — so thumbnails and auto-crop at publish match AI-generated media. New post opens a dialog; nothing hits the database until Save draft.

What we shipped

Aspect ratios for manual media

Multi-aspect AI media added ratio tags for AI generations and auto-crop at publish. Uploads and library picks arrived as bare URLs — no ratio badge, thumbnails fell back to a square crop. Now when you upload, pick from the org library, or register a public URL in the media picker, Aveiro measures images and videos in the browser and stores the closest supported ratio (1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9, and more) plus pixel dimensions. Thumbnails render at the natural aspect, ratio badges show in the picker, and the publish dispatcher uses the same tags for per-platform auto-crop.

New post dialog

New post used to create an empty draft row immediately. Cancelling left clutter in the queue. It now opens a composition dialog. Write caption, pick targets, attach media, then click Save draft — the post is created only on save. Cancel discards everything with no database row. While the media picker is open on top, Escape closes the picker first instead of losing unsaved work.

Try it

  • Open Dashboard → Social and click New post
  • Upload a portrait photo or register a video URL — note the 4:5 (or closest) ratio badge on the asset
  • Write a caption and click Save draft — the row appears in the list
  • Click New post again, type something, then Cancel — confirm no empty draft was added
