In short
Grant newsletter:read and newsletter:write on an API token or MCP connection. Agents list campaigns, draft copy, and pull open/click metrics. Send and schedule stay in the dashboard — no autonomous email.

What we shipped

Aveiro already let teams build sites, grow Audience, and send campaigns from the dashboard. This release wires email campaigns to the same agent surface as social drafting:

REST API (/api/v1/campaigns)

Org-scoped bearer tokens with newsletter:read and newsletter:write can:
  • List campaigns — filter by draft, sending, sent, or failed
  • Read full campaign content — subject, preview text, HTML body, footer fields
  • Create and revise drafts — POST always creates draft; PATCH edits drafts only
  • Read analytics — sends, opens, clicks, top clicked links, unsubscribes (same math as the dashboard stats page)
There are no routes to send, schedule, or test-send. Those actions remain dashboard-only by design.

MCP tools (aveiro_newsletter_*)

The Aveiro MCP server (hosted and stdio) exposes five tools that mirror the REST routes:
  • aveiro_newsletter_list_campaigns
  • aveiro_newsletter_get_campaign
  • aveiro_newsletter_get_analytics
  • aveiro_newsletter_create_draft
  • aveiro_newsletter_update_draft
OAuth MCP connections include newsletter scopes when newsletter drafting is authorized.

Why we built it this way

Connected publishing means your site, newsletter, and social drafts can share one automation loop — Cursor Cloud Agents, scheduled scripts, or Claude with MCP — without opening a loophole for autonomous email. Agents propose copy and structure. Humans still click Send or Schedule in Audience. The guardrail is structural: no scope, route, or MCP tool grants send.

Try it

  • Create a token with newsletter:write (add newsletter:read if you also want analytics).
  • POST /api/v1/campaigns with name, subject, fromName, fromEmail, and a short htmlContent body.
  • Open Audience → Campaigns — the draft appears in the list.
  • Edit in the campaign editor if needed, then Send or Schedule.
In Cursor, connect the Aveiro MCP server and ask the agent to draft a newsletter for review using aveiro_newsletter_create_draft. After a send, GET /api/v1/campaigns/{id}/analytics returns the same metrics you see on the stats page.
