Start from a Portfolio template, replace sample projects with your own pages, tune Styles for typography and color, set per-page titles and cover images for shares, then publish. One site — no separate CMS for the gallery.

Who this guide is for

Designers, photographers, developers, and studios who need a project showcase — case studies, selected work, about page, contact CTA — without wiring a CMS, a form plugin, and analytics separately. If you already have five blog posts about newsletters and docs, this fills the portfolio lane in the template gallery.

Step 1 — Pick a portfolio template

  • Open Sites → New site.
  • In step 2, filter or browse Portfolio templates.
  • Preview the demo on *.aveiro.page if linked from the gallery card.
  • In step 3, pick a style preset, upload your icon/wordmark, and use the live preview — refine fonts and colors later in Styles.

  • A homepage with hero and featured work
  • A projects or work collection
  • About and contact patterns
  • Layout tuned for visual media and case-study copy

Step 2 — Replace sample content

Open the Pages panel and treat the file tree as your sitemap:

Delete or archive sample projects you will not use. Rename collections so URL segments match your brand (/work, /projects, /case-studies).

Step 3 — Images and media

Portfolio sites live or die on fast, crisp media:
  • Use the image component from the catalog — set alt text for accessibility and SEO
  • Prefer consistent aspect ratios across project grids
  • Set a cover image on each project page for social previews when someone shares a case study link

Step 4 — SEO and sharing

Each project page should have:
  • Unique title — “Acme Rebrand — Studio Name” not “Project 3”
  • Summary — one sentence that works as a tweet or LinkedIn preview line
  • Site-wide default social image in Settings → SEO as fallback

Step 5 — Optional — mailing list on a portfolio site

Many portfolios add a lightweight “occasional updates” list:
  • Add an Email Signup component to the footer or contact page.
  • Write honest frequency copy.
  • Enable welcome email after domain verification.

Step 6 — Publish and measure

  • Publish Style & layout if you changed theme tokens heavily.
  • Publish Page content for homepage and each project page.
  • Enable Analytics when you start driving traffic — it's cookieless, so no consent banner appears.
  • Name events on primary CTAs (portfolio_contact, project_inquiry) — Events.

  • Template matches how much copy vs imagery you need

  • Every project has title, summary, and cover image
  • Homepage CTA is obvious on mobile
