When If-Match is stale, aveiro_update_page now retries with the current revision from the 409 response, then omits If-Match so concurrent doc sync and agent edits succeed instead of failing.

In short
Concurrent edits used to surface 409 REVISION_CONFLICT when an agent passed a stale if_match revision. The Aveiro MCP server now retries automatically — first with the server's current revision, then without If-Match — so page updates complete instead of aborting mid-sync.

What we fixed

aveiro_update_page accepts an optional if_match argument — the revision from your last read. When someone else (or another agent) edits the same page first, the API returns 409 REVISION_CONFLICT with the current revision in the error payload. Before this fix, that 409 stopped the MCP tool call even when the agent's patch was still valid. Agents syncing docs, blog posts, or API reference pages from CI saw spurious failures whenever two writers touched the same path. The hosted MCP server (https://www.aveiro.app/api/mcp/mcp) and the stdio server in mcp/aveiro now handle 409 like this:
  • First attempt — use the if_match you passed (if any).
  • On 409 — retry once with current_revision from the error response.
  • Still 409 — retry once more without If-Match, which forces the update (same as omitting if_match in the tool).
The REST API behavior is unchanged — see Update a page for If-Match, base_revision, and REVISION_CONFLICT semantics.

No token or scope changes are required. Reconnect MCP or retry the tool call if a session cached an older error.
