In short
After a social post publishes, Aveiro snapshots engagement on a decaying schedule — roughly 1h, 24h, 72h, and 7d. Agents with social:write can read cross-post performance before drafting so the next caption fits what already works.

What we shipped

Social agent API and MCP gave agents a safe path to draft Instagram and Threads posts. Engagement metrics close the loop: automation can learn from published posts instead of guessing.

Automatic snapshot collection

Once a post is live, an hourly collector reads engagement from each platform through Chirio:
  • ~1h — early velocity (strongest predictor of final reach)
  • ~24h, ~72h, ~7d — settled totals
  • Collection stops after ~7 days when engagement plateaus
Each snapshot stores views, likes, comments, shares, saves, and platform-specific extras where available. A metric is null when the platform does not expose it — never zero.

Agent-facing reads

Two routes share the same data:
  • GET /api/v1/social/performance — cross-post dataset: published posts with first (~1h) and latest snapshots per target platform. Filter with days, limit, and offset.
  • GET /api/v1/social/posts/{postId} — now also returns a full metrics array (oldest first) for one post.
MCP: aveiro_social_get_performance mirrors the performance route. aveiro_social_get_post already returns metrics on the same call. Requires social:write — same scope as drafting. There is still no API path to approve or publish.

Why it matters for agent workflows

A Cursor Cloud Agent or scheduled script can:
  • Read which captions and formats drove the most early velocity
  • Notice which platforms respond to different copy lengths
  • Draft the next post with evidence instead of repeating what underperformed
Humans still approve every post. Metrics inform the draft; they do not bypass review.

  • Publish a social post through the dashboard (or approve an agent draft).
  • Wait ~1h for the first snapshot.
  • GET /api/v1/social/performance?days=30 with a social:write token.
  • Compare first vs latest per target — then draft your next post with aveiro_social_create_draft.
In Cursor, ask the agent to call aveiro_social_get_performance before proposing new social copy.
